Love like no other!

It's so true....everything that you hear about mothers discovering a new kind of love in their children. I never knew that feeling until about 6 weeks ago! It really changes you, having a kid. I got an adorable little girl and she is so much fun. Thankfully she is healthy too! The tiny clothes and shoes [that barely fit her petite physique...LOL] are just so adorable. I said I wouldn't do it but she is like my own personal doll. I'm so excited to have my baby here, finally after 10 months of preparation and anticipation. The holidays now have an entire new meaning and I sure plan on enjoying them. It's the beginning of December & I hope you all are having a great holiday season so far. May you hug, love on, and enjoy your family and your little darlings to no end. I know I am!
Be blessed!

My favorite thing to do!

Happy Holidays....Merry Christmas....Happy New Year....May God bless you & yours!

Time for lots of Christmas music!

I love the HOLIDAYS! But of course who doesn't?! There are a ton of reasons to love the holidays, but for me it doesn't ever feel officially Christmas until I hear all that Christmas music playing on the radio and in the stores as I shop. I can never get tired of it.
I would enjoy some snow to get the season started as well, but that isn't very common here in San Antonio, TX so I'll just have to take what I can get.

Side note: The Chipmunks Christmas music was a tradition in our household when I was growing up. And I found this record in a thrift store last week and couldn't resist buying it, now my daughter can get used to hearing it!

On another note:
One of my favorite upcoming artists is Karmin...if you haven't heard her music then you should really check her out here
Here is a Christmas song she did for Coach...ahhhh! I just LOVE it!

Enjoy and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

GIGANTES Tour {with Marc Anthony}

I love Marc Anthony's music! I was so worried that I would miss his appearance in San Antonio but I was able to get tickets just a week or two before he was here in town back in September. I got to take my dad with me and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It was the GIGANTES Tour so Chayanne, Marc Anthony and Marco Antonio Solis were the main events. I've never been to a concert like it before. Although Marc Anthony wasn't the main course, I enjoyed the whole shebang!

Chayanne!
He was the opener of the evening and did a great job. He's so energetic, funny and entertaining. His dancers were amazing and complimented his performance very well. I thoroughly enjoyed his set.
I'd love to see him again in concert any day!

Here's a little piece of Chayanne ;)

Marc Anthony!
He is my favorite spanish music singer. His music is just so distinct and full of talent. I literally could listen to his music all day on repeat. I have had all his cd's at one time or another. Maybe it's because I am Puerto Rican as well but he really is a talented artist and I will take advantage to see him in concert whenever I am given a chance to.

Here is one of my favorite moments of the evening.....Marc Anthony & Chayanne sing together!

Marco Antonio Solis!
He ended the evening with an upbeat set. I've never heard his music before and although his style is much different than what I am used to hearing, I enjoyed it. He had great dancers and he's very energetic as well. Of course they ended the evening by bringing back Marc Anthony and Chayanne together with Marco Antonio, it really was one of the best concerts I had ever been to and I am so glad I attended.

Hope you enjoyed this lil glimpse of talent!

Fall is amazing!

Hey there! It's fall time in the city! I just can't get enough of the cool weather. It makes me appreciate everything I have just a little more. The smell of cold air just fills me with joy. Holiday parties and being surrounded by friends and family makes this lovely lady so happy! What's your favorite thing to do in the fall season? I enjoy baking and cooking new recipes and I've had a lot more time to do so lately. I've been so wrapped up in loving and kissing on my little baby all day (and I love it!) We go for strolls in the neighborhood and enjoy mommy & baby time together. Could this season be any better? I'm so thankful for it all! God bless you all. Enjoy the perfect weather and the family time. Take some time to hug, kiss and cuddle your lil ones. That's what makes Happy Holidays!!

A precious package has arrived!

Great news!!! My little angel is finally here!
A week ago today I was able to experience the most beautiful thing in the world! Child birth! My precious daughter Zariah Isabel was born on October 16th at 12:08am and weighed 6lbs 14oz. Boy has my life changed already! It's the sweetest thing to fall in love with such a little person that is completely dependent on me. The whole experience was amazing. I was in labor for about 9 hours but the truly serious part of labor lasted just under 3 hours...I was so blessed to have a quick, natural delivery. And now just a week later I have to say that besides the lack of sleep I feel great! My favorite thing to do is hold my baby girl and smell her! I'm so blessed!
Becoming a parent is an experience like no other and I'm so glad to be able to have become someone's "momma."

Birchbox {September 2012}

Birchbox! I just got into this a couple of months ago. It's really a great way to sample & discover all kinds of products from health & beauty to lifestyle and everything in between. I've even received yummy nutrition bars in my Birchbox package (food samples?? that makes me even happier...hahaha!)
Anyhow, I've been wanting to do a mini product review each month and always forget but before I open my October box, I wanted to share my thoughts on September's goodies.

Color Club [Polish] In blue! First of all, I love the color blue and I love nail polish...that was just love at first sight. I was very pleased with this sample. The color looked great on and it lasted a good couple of days. I highly  recommend this product. See picture below.
They even had a fun Chevron nail DIY on the Birchbox website you can see here

Jouer [Matte Moisture Tint] I have never tried any kind of moisturizing tint before so I was glad to try one. I liked the way that it went on, it didn't feel like I was wearing a lot of make-up, and it went on smooth ans blended well. The smell was clean, which I really liked. This product is definitely going in my hospital bag so that when I pop my lil one out I can get a quick refreshed look for pictures. I highly recommend trying this one.

Kate Spade [Twirl] At this point in my pregnancy perfume has become difficult to wear because they all seem to strong for me. However, I still tried it and the smell is great! If I had to describe the smell, it's sort of a after the rain, fresh, spring smell. I recommend giving it a try.

An Apothecary [Soy Body Whip in poppy] I rubbed this all over my big pregnant belly, haha! Not only does it smell good but it has a nice shine to it. It wasn't oily or goopy. It was a great moisturizer and it lasted pretty much all day. I definitely recommend it.

Twistband [lace hair tie] The concept behind the twistband is pretty meets sporty & it's gentle on hair without leaving dents. That is definitely true of this product and I really liked it, besides it looks cute on your wrist when you're not using it. The downside of it for me was that it started to look worn out after a few uses. It faded and lost it's pretty color, that made me sad. Other than that I would definitely recommend it.

Hollywood Fashion Tape This is definitely a quick fix it for all your wardrobe needs. I have used this in the past to hem pants, to keep a shirt closed in the front and to hold undergarments in place. I highly recommend it for purchase.

Also  in the box was a bonus $25 off a purchase of $75 or more at Madewell I didn't use it but I definitely took a look see around the website and their clothes are super cute (not very budget friendly though).

Hope you enjoyed my product review! Have a nice weekend!

Projects & Painting!!

It's true we are approximately 6 days away from the expected arrival of our little one! Setting up for her grand appearance has taken priority the last few days especially since I'm home now. So I have some projects to share. I have letters that I'll be hanging around her room and I really enjoyed painting them. It was pretty fun! I bought these letters at Hobby Lobby they are made of thick cardboard. Then on the back I glued felt loops in order to be able to hang them.

I used them, as is, for my recent baby shower.
Decoration was courtesy of my friend!
I also had the wooden letters " Z & I" that were given to me by a friend!

So I had my husband spray paint them all.

Then I added my own touch to the letters using some white paint, a circular sponge brush and regular paint brush.

I'm pretty happy with the final result. I'll post pics of the final nursery details when its all finished! I'm so excited for that but my poor feet can only handle so much decorating daily. I have to take breaks often.

I'll also be adding this flag banner to her room...my sweet friend made this for me!

Hope your inspired to get creative, get crafty and decorate your own space.

Lovely Day!

Oh my is the weather today amazing!! It's 59 degrees outside and I am loving it. Fall is here!
Watching football, eating and relaxing at home with the windows open makes for a perfect day with this weather. I'm officially on maternity leave so it's nice to be home and enjoy the day.
I feel like this weather inspires me to do more around the house. I just love it.
So I did a final countdown picture...it's approximately 1 week until our lil girl makes her appearance.
I must say anticipation is high and I cant wait to meet the lil bun in my oven :)

The weekend is for enjoying...hope you're doing just that!

Life lately...

Life Lately....
Baby News! We are approximately 3 weeks away from D-day. I can hardly believe it. My lil one is growing, stretching and kicking. I'm so excited to finally meet her very soon. Weekly appointments are under way and we get to see her in sonograms. It's so cute to see her little face and arms, etc. Her room is being prepared and after 2 wonderful baby showers we have so many things for her already. Our baby is blessed. I've begun washing her clothes and packing her hospital bag. YAY! Her name has been decided and we are in love with it...... check out how we announced it to our family!

Washing her laundry and getting her room ready!

Daddy getting her bassinet ready!

Her expected arrival!

Family! My dad and uncle came to visit me and it was such a delight! I actually got to take my dad to a Marc Anthony concert!! So much fun...I'll need to post videos and pics of that later. Anyhow, I love having family visit it's refreshing.
My daddy still buys me treats!

Music! I love the new album by Maroon 5 called Overexposed! Marc Anthony has been on my current playlist as well.

Movies! I recently saw 'A little bit of Heaven' on Netflix and it was pretty good. Sad movie but I liked it. I also watched the movie 'What to expect when you're expecting' it wasn't as good as I had expected but it had its funny moments. I loved the 'Amazing Spiderman' great movie!

Work! I'm winding down to the last days of work but I'm keeping busy and making money until the last moment possible. I really think that the time I am out on maternity leave that I am going to miss my job and co-workers but it will be well worth it to be with my lil one!
