Inspiration for today!

It's Wednesday and sometimes by this time you've run out of the energy or enthusiasm that you had earlier in the week. Need a mid-week pick me up? I do. I heard this song today and the lyrics in this song are just what I needed to be reminded of. Sometimes I forget that I am a mother that is constantly needed and I try to be superwoman thinking I can do or accomplish everything that I need to in one day. I'll get there, just not as quickly as I did before. I'm way too hard on myself for no reason.
Take a minute, take a breather and do the best you can.....that is enough!
God is everything we could ever need. Be encouraged today, baby steps will get you to your goal. Consistency is key. God is for you!

{You are for me by Kari Jobe}
So faithful
So constant
So loving and so true
So powerful in all You do

You fill me
You see me
You know my every move
You love for me to sing to You

I know that You are for me
I know that You are for me
I know that You will never
Forsake me in my weakness

And I know that You have come down
Even if to ride upon my heart
To remind me who You are

So patient
So gracious
So merciful and true
So wonderful in all You do

You fill me
You see me
You know my every move
And You love for me to sing to You

And Lord, I know that You are for me
I know that You are for me
I know that You will never
Forsake me in my weakness

And I know that You have come down
Even if to ride upon my heart
To remind me

I know that You are for me
I know that You are for me
I know that You will never
Forsake me in my weakness

And I know that You have come down
Even if to ride upon my heart
To remind me who You are

You remind me

I know that You are for me
I know that You are for me
I know that You will never
Forsake me in my weakness

And I know that You have come down
Even if to ride upon my heart
To remind me who You are

Birchbox July

Hello there!
I just wanted to take a moment to share some of my thoughts on my July Birchbox
This month's products were not my most favorite but here are my thoughts.
LOVE!
This was, by far, the best
dry shampoo I've ever tried.

NAH!
No difference noted, maybe
I needed a bigger sample.

LIKE!
I am a bobby pin lover, these
are great but a little hard to
use and it kept pulling my hair
when I took them out.....OUCH!
Love the designs though.

LOVE!
The color was perfect.

NAH!
Didn't like the smell.
It was a mixture of musky
& floral....I was not a fan.

Inspiration for today

Sometimes, life gets a little too routine and you just need to be reminded of
His love & unfailing promises to be refreshed.
I got these (somewhere, a while back) and just found them as I was going through pictures.
I hope that you'll be blessed by them!

Have a lovely day......

This chair!

So about 2 years ago I bought this chair at Goodwill for only $5.99. It's moved its way around my house until I got pregnant. That's when I decided I wanted it in my daughter's room. It really is a very comfy chair but being that it would clash with my nursery colors I decided to ask a friend for some help. One of my old co-workers used to paint furniture for a living and he was thrilled to paint this piece for me. It looks so gorgeous and he did a better job than I could have ever done & he painted it with baby safe paint....how awesome is that?! Enjoy the transformation!

Currently!
I couldn't love it more.

Wooden crate transformation & shelf DIY

I'm loving ALL my nursery projects. I realize that as I finish one piece and add it to the room I get a whole new idea and I start  changing things up again. This happens at least once a week. Ha! Oh well, my daughters room is probably my favorite one in the house. It's so peaceful and sweet. So this was her only book shelf until I found these below.

A couple of weeks ago my neighbors were all throwing out some pretty sweet things...so naturally I went garbage picking. I got these cute crates among some other amazing things like, patio furniture and an old recliner. ALL FOR FREE...very very cool!
So one of the crates was pink and the other green. I painted the green one yellow and it's now sitting in my living room looking quite lovely. I put some vases in it and it's pretty.

The pink one I decided to leave pink and just add some yellow polka dots. Cute, huh?
Now its sitting in my daughter's room as a second book shelf. I love it. Even the cute little legs were a perfect add to it. Whoever made this is a genius!

These crates are sold at Michael's you can get them for as little at $10-14.
With just a little color they become very useful.
Any other ideas for them? Please share.
Enjoy!

Just a little late....but....June's BirchBox was a great surprise so I just wanted to share with you guys what was in the box and my opinion of the lovely products:

LOVE!
This is a wonderful product.
I love the sample size it's perfect.
The pink color is beautiful &
it lasted long.
LOVE!
They sent me the minty green color
It's wonderful and worth the buy.
Lasted long and great color.
It had a glow in the dark look.

LOVE!
This smell is clean & divine.
I would buy it.

LIKE!
Not too bad, I haven't noticed a
difference in my skin but maybe
I just need to use it longer.

LIKE!
Seemed great but the sample
was too small to tell.

Also, purchased this amazing product and it's been a miracle hair product for me.
Plus, I am a sucker for cute packaging.

Wall candy: Frame makeover

Hey! Want a quick & cute idea to add some beauty to any wall?
Go to get yourself a cute little frame from anywhere cheap (of course I chose Goodwill) and get yourself a cute postcard, frame it and you're done!
It's easy, huh?
Yea this project only cost me $2.
As I said, the frame was bought at Goodwill.
I gave it a little makeover with some paint that I had.
The postcard actually came in my May Birchbox (so it was free!)
And I just loved the color so I stuck it in the frame and hung it on my wall.
It looks great.
Easy, easy, easy....... this can be done in less than an hour.
The longest part is waiting for the paint to dry.
Enjoy!

Weekend Fun-having: Celebrating the 4th

Oh my!!! I love celebrating and having fun with family! This 4th of July consisted of a parade that our church participated in and won a few awards like Best float & Mayor's choice. YAY!
It was a "Made in America" theme, so we took it old school and had some lovely ladies dressed up as "The Andrew Sisters" singing 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B'
Then, in the evening, we watched the fireworks downtown by the arch it was glorious.
Also the rest of the weekend was great. Seeeeeee!

Probably my favorite picture of the day.
She loved the fireworks!

Let freedom ring...it sure is a beautiful thing.

Other weekend happenings:

Found a great thrift store in Delmar loop

 And a vinyl store [LOVE!]
I'm an 80's baby and grew up with Jane Fonda around....oooh the memories!

Hope your 4th of July weekend was great.
