Lovely Sunday dress up!

I love Sundays for many reasons but one of my favorite things about it, is dressing up for church!

This outfit was worn a few weeks ago...In order of appearance

Ring: made by me, it was an old brooch that I thrifted and turned into a ring (cheap & cute) 

Belt: thrifted

I hadn't realized until then, that many of my most favorite items were thrifted.

Another addiction...

Social networking is insanely addicting....I'm sure you all know! So I recently caved and signed up for a Polyvore account and I love it! Thrifting fun!

Who doesn't love a new pretty dress?!?!!! Well I've recently thrifted some great pieces that I'm so excited about! They ranged from $1.25 to $7. I'm so especially in love with the $1.25 dress (pretty pink polka dots) below! I came across it in a local store that has special prices each day and Wednesdays all items are just 25cents!!! Amazing!

Retail Therapy..

RETAIL THERAPY: is shopping with the primary purpose of improving the buyer's mood or disposition; the action of shopping for clothes, etc, in order to cheer oneself up.

Haha, these definitions could not be more true, because retail therapy is for real! I don't know what it is about shopping that turns my frown upside down but I absolutely love it. And especially when it involves a thrift store because you never know what you will find. It may be the feeling of excitement from getting a great deal on something I absolutely LOVE or the fact that treasure hunting through thrift stores is such a thrill but it makes me so happy :D 

I say yes to retail therapy, anytime, anywhere, any place!

Antique shops!

Have I mentioned that I LOVE Austin, Texas!!! Hahaha, I've made so many trips there lately. The city is just so amazing! Full of fun, art, food, shopping.....you get it! So our last trip there consisted of vintage & antique shopping. Oh my did I fully enjoy that?!!! :D 

The city has their own vintage around town guide where it maps out all the vintage/antique stores for you & it's impossible to go through all of them thoroughly in one day (there are about 30+ stores).
